Why buy a Christmas tree skirt when I can make homemade one and customize it for my family?
I had actually made a similar one for my friend when she got married. She was saying how their first Christmas was kinda sparse since they were young and freshly out of college. I decided to make them a tree skirt for their first Christmas as husband and wife.
I enjoyed making it so much, that I decided to recreate it a few years later when I was married and had our first child.
I didn’t have a pattern to follow for the original, so I had to use this picture as a reference:
(((When I find the picture, I’ll post it here)))
Here is mine:

Not too shabby, right?
I personalized the back with our hand prints. Sadly, this skirt has been patiently waiting for # of years. I still have one more hand to applique on. *tsk, tsk, tsk* Maybe this is the year? (I tell myself that every year.)

I should probably add names and birth dates…
Ahhh…adventures in procrastination!
UPDATE 12/4/2020:
I FINALLY added Son, names, & numbers!
Now it can go into our Christmas box and not shuffle around the craft closet.
